Julie Giove, M.A., L.M.F.T.
Executive Director

Julie Giove, founder and executive director of Reins of H.O.P.E., has been a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist for 14 years. Julie is certified EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth And Learning) Level 1 and in the process of Level 2 training. She has over 16 years of experience in private practice, social service agency, administration of a psychiatric hospital assessment services department and local private boarding school counseling services.

Julie has long had a dream to combine her love of horses and therapy. With the creation of Reins of H.O.P.E., she has now found a way to share this dream with others.

Marie Ortiz, M.A., ARIA (American Riding Instructor Assn) Level 2, EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth And Learning) Level 1.

Marie received her Masters degree at Pacifica University in Counseling Psychology and has over 20 years of riding and horse experience. Marie's expertise as an equestrian and her in-depth education in pyschology give clients unique perspectives and greater opportunities for compelling insights and awareness.
